About Me

Doctor Erica (Loehr) Rotondo is a Wisconsin native and received her Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies, and African Languages and Literature from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. She attended medical school at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Rotondo is Board Certified in Family Medicine, initially by the American Osteopathic Association, and now with the National Board of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Rotondo completed two years of General Surgery residency in the Detroit area and returned to Arizona to complete a Family Medicine residency. She then held Fellowship in Health Policy Studies through New York Institute of Technology's College of Osteopathic Medicine. After 5 years of practicing outpatient family medicine and urgent care, Dr. Rotondo spent several years as an Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine at Southern Illinois University's School of Medicine.

Dr. Rotondo returned to Madison to open her own private family medicine clinic where she provided same day visits and took time to build a relationship with patients, creating a more personal and compassionate style of care. She valued the patients in her private practice but she closed her practice in Madison after one year, with the long term goal to open a clinic again in a medically-underserved community in rural California.

Dr. Rotondo relocated to Bishop, a small town in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains in California in October 2017. When she is not seeing primary care patients, she enjoys spending time with her horse, her neighbors, being outdoors, trail riding and hiking as much as possible.
